In 2012, our home was badly damaged during Superstorm Sandy. What then seemed a disaster turned out to be one of our greatest gifts. There is nothing like watching your house being torn down, then fighting tooth and nail to rebuild, to inspire you to reevaluate.

We moved back into our "new" old home in 2015, but as it turns out, all those old adages were true: Nothing lasts forever. Life is what happens when you're busy making plans. If you're not having fun, you're doing something wrong. Someday never happens, only today does.
